The Winegarten Foundation has access to many Texas historians throughout the state who specialize in women in Texas history. Some are knowledgeable about specific periods of time such as the Texas Revolution, the Progressive Era, the Great Depression or the Civil Rights era. Some of our friends have extensive knowledge of women in local history, local events, ranching, rodeo, suffrage, labor, food and cooking customs, women’s war work, clubs and organizations, civil rights, voting rights, women’s rights, reproductive rights, politics and pay equality.

If you have an upcoming event and need a guest speaker, please contact us to see if we can connect you with a guest or keynote speaker. It is customary to cover expenses and to provide an honorarium for the speaker. Please contact us to see if this might be a viable option for your event.
