“Women in Texas History” Book Series

Writing a book about women in Texas history?

Then we have the book series for you—entirely devoted to the history of Texas women.

The Ruthe Winegarten Foundation, in collaboration with Texas A&M University Press, publishes the “Women in Texas History” book series, and  Foundation board members Nancy Baker Jones and Cynthia J. Beeman are its general editors.

Our audience includes historians, teachers, students, and the public.

Our focus is on individual lives, events, and time periods, or aspects of gender, race, class, and culture.

Books in the series may include historical works of broad interest to the public as well as those useful to professional historians.

A detailed description and link to purchase our books is available here.
